It was December 2023; Tommy went to the Law Office of Diana Macias Valdez (Andrea's place of work) to drop off Nothing Bundt Cakes as the firm's Christmas gift from Cano HR Group, LLC. Andrea was working with one earphone and heard a young man's voice. In her inquisitive nature, she came out to see who it was. Andrea's boss, Diana, motioned for her to come over and meet Mr. Cano's son. She had met Mr. Cano a year prior when he delivered the same cakes and would see and greet him periodically as he would stop by the office, unbeknownst to her that he had a son. Andrea shook Tommy's hand, and they introduced themselves to one another. Andrea inquired with Diana if Tommy was single. Luckily for her, he was. Tommy followed Andrea on Instagram. He wished her a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, then asked her on a date. After Andrea gave Tommy the run around for three weeks, they went on their first date on January 13, 2024, to the Italian Kitchen. It took them a couple of dates, and the cherry on top, a date to church, to then text their friends and family that they had met their future husband/wife. After a swift ten months of dating, Tommy proposed on November 8, 2024, Andrea's 26th birthday in Rome, Italy, on top of the North American Pontifical College. Andrea and Tommy are the epitome of "when you know, you know".
